[Force 12 Talk] 6M on a C3?

I've used my C3SS on 6 meters just to see what it would do
and have the distinct impression that the pattern is like a
four leaf clover. It is certainly better than no antenna but
should be thought of in the same league as 12 and 17 meter
operation. de Roy WA4DOU

If you have a C3SS, it'll work on 6 meters without any attachments and
most rigs with decent tuners, like the Icom Pros, the TS-2000 and
FT-2000, will load the antenna up OK. I've used a C3SS and TS-2000 on 6
meters and while there is directivity, it's not as good a a dedicated 6
meter yagi.
Having said that, it loaded up fine and I did make some contacts.
Actually, it worked pretty well and since I'm not a serious 6 meter DXer
or contester, it might just keep me from spending money on a 6 meter
yagi. But, if you're serious about your 6 meter work, there are probably
better options.
