[Force 12 Talk] 6M on a C3?

Hi Scott,
Tnx for the info.
My C3SS is at 42'. At the top of the tower (82') I have a SteppIR MonstIR
which cover 6M. Being new to 6M, am not sure at times if a lower 6M antenna
would be better, like on 10M. Maybe if someone could or did a model of the
EF-606 with wider spacing between the driver and first director I could use
that to swing around the tower at about 46'?

If you have a C3SS, it'll work on 6 meters without any attachments and
most rigs with decent tuners, like the Icom Pros, the TS-2000 and
FT-2000, will load the antenna up OK. I've used a C3SS and TS-2000 on 6
meters and while there is directivity, it's not as good a a dedicated 6
meter yagi.

Having said that, it loaded up fine and I did make some contacts.
Actually, it worked pretty well and since I'm not a serious 6 meter DXer
or contester, it might just keep me from spending money on a 6 meter
yagi. But, if you're serious about your 6 meter work, there are probably
better options.
